I want to live a simple life.  Work little hours and spend a lot of time with my family. I want two more kids and live in a two story small country style home.  He did the same thing in his life he didn't work that much but he lived life to the fullest.  I could take his books as an example on how to live my life.

I don't take advantage of any devices I just use them.  I know some people who use devices too much.     Some people use devices like cellphones way too much. I see a phone as a tool not as something to spend your entire life texting on.   I do text a lot of people but only as a way to get in touch with them.

Individual people have a lot of struggles.  They struggle most with what other people in a conformity say about them.  But people who are in a conformity are scared to be individual so they just pick on them.   Most people are that are individuals can learn to just forget about the conform irises.  but some of them give up and join a conformity so you don't stand out.

Formal institutions like church do not hold as much power as they did 10 years ago.   Even though some formal things are fun we just don't do them anymore.  I try to go to church as much as I can but there is some days that I just can't go.  The formal things in life used to be a higher priority but now the little things can come before them.  If I have football practice and church on the same nigh then most the time I got to practice.

Yes a person can be to determined.  A person can want something so bad the they would give too much to have it or do it.   If you are willing to die for something odds are you are too determined.

Gothic stories have to scare people.  The people who read gothic stories are looking for a thrill.  So the objective of the author into scare his audience. To me the only thing that scares me is things that pop out.  A book has a hard time of being able to scare me because the author really has to paint a picture in my head to make the things pop out.
Darkness in a person is described as bad or bad traits. There are dark people and regular people.  We are good or bad because of how we were raised and how we were brought up.  The things that make up our lives are what determines if we have darkness in us.  So yes there is a possibility for darkness in all of us.  Everyone can be a bad person some are just luckier than others or that's how I see it.

We'll if you make a story see dream like it can make the audience feel as if they are in a dream.  You would want to make the audience feel that way so you could make them feel the same things or think they are in a dream so they can believe what is happening is really happening  to them. You want to make the reader get into the story and really stick to it so they will read it.  The dreamlike settings is just one of the tools a author can use.

A secret can eat up a persons sole if it is kept inside to long. It will make a person feel like they just have to tell someone.  In the story Tell Tale Heart the person kills some one and hides it.  Later on the police come and the guilt of hiding the secret makes him confess what he did.

Yes, I have observed greedy behavior. I do all the time, my dad is very greedy.  He makes a lot of money but never wants to spend it.  He is getting ready to move to the mountains when I graduate and is trying to save all the money he can.  He makes as many budget cuts in the house as he can.  Like during the winter he doesn't turn the heater on much to save on the electricity bill.  He has a lot of money it's just every dollar he can save he saves them.

Why do people hear voices in the woods? People tell stories all the time off how they hear voices in the woods.  Some of them are just crazy, but sometimes people get scared and their minds make them feel like someone is talking to them.  It might be their worst fear just getting to their head or it might be something that they have seen happen to other people in the woods. It might be a thought they have just repeating its selfs over and over again or They could be hallucinating.

Why do we fear what we do not know?  We fear the unknown because naturally humans are always scared even if we don't know what's there. If we weren't scared then we would do brave things and it might endanger our life. So looking into a dark room we feel scared because we can't be absolutely sure that the room is safe.   So we are just naturally scared that if we walk in the room then there is a chance of  getting hurt.

Overall findings summary

In the four sources I read I found many new interesting facts about the religious ways in Plymouth.  It shocked me that the pilgrims were actually segregated from other colonies bc of what they believed in.  I knew that the settlers came to the Americas for religious freedom but I didn't know that they were so diverse that if you were a different type of Christian that you had to settle in a certain type of colony.  One source showed me how the different types of religions over the years finally came together to make a whole country.  The other sources mainly talked about the life in a colony that is based on religion . Another fact that surprised me was the the church was the main point in the town it was the courthouse and the meeting place for the town. Now a days the church is separate from government and court systems I thought that was a very cool thing to know.  Before this project I thought that the pilgrims were just some funny looking people in black hats but now I understand the role of religion in Plymouth.
Different speeches affect different people. The type of person you are and the things you are into determine if you will like a speech.  If you like/ support the Black equality movement the you should appreciate Martin Luther king Jr.'s I have a dream speech.  Or if you like rocky and motivational speeches then you will like rocky's speech.  This is because you will only remember, retain, or be effected by a speech that you enjoy and get your mind focused on.  The speaker also has to be able to focus on that certain topic and be able to hold your attention so it will effect you.  If he doesn't then you will not like it or want to hear anymore.

Restatement:
Who smells good.
Someone is wearing perfume

Repetition:
The seat is yellow
The color of the seat is yellow

Parallelism:
Like mother like daughter

Rhetorical questions:
Are you really that stupid?
A good and effective speech should have ethos, logic, and pathos.  When a speaker uses ethos he gives credibility to someone or something or maybe even another speech.  Logos is when he or she uses logic and pathos is the twist on the audiences emotions or how it makes them feel. The speaker could be trying to motivate the audience by using pathos to say something deep or he/ she could be trying to make them sad like on the animal shelter commercials or the children in Africa commercials. Maybe the speaker is trying to persuade someone to buy something then they would use logos or logic to make them think they need the item.

We'll if someone is trying to persuade me then they have to motivate me to have a mindset like them. They have to tell me what they believe how doing something will affect me as in the pros and cons. If someone wants me to buy so etching they have to show me how good the item is and what it will do. Because before I buy something I always read the info. So the best way to persuade me is just tell me all about it.

This video refers to pathos, it wants to motivate you to succeed in life. He says when you wanna succeed as bad as you wanna breathe then you will be successful. They space out the talking parts to get you thinking and to play with your emotions.
I remember a speech by rocky, he said it doesn't matter how hard you can hit but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. He was talking about life and before he says that he says life's gonna beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. I guess I remembered it be my stepbrother keeps saying it over and over.

This is the article, Religion in Colonial America,By:Lawanda Brewer, Heather Jaques, Ranada Jones, Joshua King. In this article the authors discussed how America was affected by the religion when it was started in Plymouth and the early colonies. They showed how the modern America was shaped by how the colonies were so religiously based.  They also told how early colonies were just a patch work of different religiously separated towns.  The authors purpose was to inform readers about religion in the early Americas.  They didn't give a bio of each author but it told that they were students of  North Carolina at Pembrooke in 2001

http://mayflowerhistory.com/religion/
In the article, Mayflower History, by Caleb Johnson, talks about eight main points. In the first and second he describes how their religions and how they work. The third he explains the church hierarchy.  Then church building, he told that the church room was also the town's meetinghouse, where court sessions and town meetings took place.   After that in the next three paragraphs he discusses things like infant baptism, marriages, and holidays. The last paragraph was the longest and most detailed, it was about religious texts. In this article it gave no information about the author other than his name. But his purpose was to inform the reader about the religious views in mayflower history.

Origin myths were crazy stories told mostly by Native Americans. You can tell The Native Americans had many human traits or characteristics because these stories were strongly based on nature and the sprits they believed in that lived in nature.  Because in the myths they told the animals and plants played a major role in forming the world.  So there religions and ceremonies always worshiped god or animals of the forrest or things that are in nature.  That's why they have always loved, honored, and respected all the things in the environment.

Essential question 1

We'll if a person has to live off the nature then you should have earned a respect for it.  Native American societies had a lot of respect for the plants and animals they killed or harvested. They all the meat from the animals they killed and even used their bones for tools.  The places where they lived did not harm or hurt the environment like the modern ways of living do.  Their spiritual relationships also included the nature in many ways. They have names like running bull,  howling wolf, or the flying eagle. All nature based names because their entire life revolved around nature.
